David Gillon has worked as a songwriter, musician, and recording artist promoting his honky tonk styled music. His songs have been recorded by numerous artists, including Ray Charles, Delbert McClinton, Lari White, Kenny Rogers, and Gary Stewart among others. He has had songs in several TV movies and a song featured in the Kevin Costner movie Tin Cup. Gillon has toured with Willie Nelson, Freddy Fender, Waylon Jennings, and Jerry Jeff Walker and during the early 1970s was a member of the trendsetting country rock band, Tennessee Pulleybone.
