Tubby and Mala Patterson is a brother-sister team who perform different types of energetic and entertaining variety shows with live, acoustic music; dance; and comedy. One of their shows employs a large repertoire of songs and another great musician or two while another show is a fun and educational children's program. in which Tubby and Mala showcase old-time music with traditional and homemade instruments. Mala and Tubby encourage youngsters to sing; dance; play rhythm instruments and join in the fun.
Tubby and Mala have recorded music for the award-winning short film Me and Jessie D. and the children's books that Mala has written & illustrated. They have performed at Ernest Tubb's Record Shop, festivals, conventions, theme parks on radio and television and other venues and events.
Tubby and Mala won the 2008 group category of Panoply and placed in the top 25 on the first season of CMT's Can You Duet.
